Elite Co-ed Open Team

YES, we will be having a Co-ed Open Team once again this coming season :)!!

The Team will be coached by Nestor De La Pena and Roy Adam Lucas! Open Gym Practices will begin Wednesday June 3rd at 9:00pm.  The team will be practicing skills throughout the summer in preparation for a Team Try-out Wednesday August 5th.  Practices are every Wednesday at 9:00 pm, everyone is welcome! Ages 18 and up ONLY.

We also plan on having an Open Jazz Team and an Open Hip-Hop Team! Stay posted for more information!

WRATH goes to WORLDS!!

Wrath's amazing performance and scores at the Spirit of Hope Nationals and UCA Nationals earned them a BID to the 2009 Cheerleading WORLDS!!  We were proud to represent Universal Spirit with our bid to compete in the Senior Co-ed Unlimited Level 5 division at WORLDS!!  The team had an amazing performance and experience being the first team to COMPETE at worlds from Elite Cheer and Dance! (Our Special Needs Team had an awesome performance last season at WORLDS).  Our Senior Co-ed team is now ranked on a WORLDWIDE level and ranks among the top 15 in the WORLD! What an accomplishment!  Elite Cheer and Dance is the only program in Broward and Palm Beach Counties to be invited to Worlds!

Elite was honored on stage at the Worlds Coaches Awards Ceremony as one of only five gyms nominated from across the nation for the USASF Chairman’s Cup. Elite was recognized by our industries top executive for excelling in community service and going far beyond just being in the business of cheer. A special thanks to everyone that participated in our food and toy drives, buddy walk, special needs programs, and much more. Giving back makes it all worth while. 

Some of our coaches  stayed in Orlando after Worlds to attend the Fifth Annual Coaches Conference. Collectively, we attended 21 different break out sessions covering the gambit of topics from business practices & issues, enhanced training techniques, choreography, and much more. We were also active at all the panel discussions (lead by the foremost industry leading experts who own the largest cheer programs in the nation).  All we can say is WOW. We took pages of notes on what’s working around the country, met privately with key executives and event producers, we have a significantly greater understanding of what we need to do to continue to improve, and how similar our experiences are over these first 3 years of rapid growth. We learned that regardless of how many kids you have cheering, there is a formula too having a winning program –competitively, financially, and most of all in exceeding yours and your children’s expectations year over year.
